Oil Spill
As everyone knows there's been an oil spill in the gulf. Right now its hit Louisiana's wetland's and Gulf shores in Alabama. It's so bad that the tar balls that have washed up on Gulf Shores stick to your feet and very hard to get off. Soon it will proabably hit Panama City Beach in Alabama. It's now said that it might not get cleaned up until August. I'm concerned for the wildlife Such as all the fish, seabirds, and turtles. I'm concerned for the turtles because when the oil hit it was suposed to be the Sea Turtles hatching season it is said that most did not make it because of the Oil Spill I wish there was some way to clean it all up.0

Camp Cosby
Fifth grade is going on a field trip next week. We are going to go to Camp Cosby. We are going to come to school early on Monday on May 3, 2010. I hear it is somewhere way down south in Alabama. The activities we are going to do are minibikes , horseback riding , and even hiking. I am going with my dad. We plan to have outdoor classrooms to learn about our enviorment and animals. We also are going to camp out under the stars one night. I just can't wait to go i'll let you know how it went.
Tec Blitz
Tec Blitz is coming up. For those who don't know what that is Tec Blitz it is at Gadsden State. What we do is we make projects such as podcasts or multimedia stuff of that nature. We then put our projects on a computer and go to Tec Blitz. We wait for the judges to come to watch our projects we then explain how we did our project and where we got our information. Then we wait for the awards time to come to see if one of our projects won a place.

New Zealand
Do you know about our project with New Zealand? Well I am going to tell you about it. On Tuesday,December 8,2009 we had a video chat with a class there. We have been making friends and e-buddies with them. So we started to do a blog with them where we list things we do to stay healthy. We made up questions to ask them about the blog we are doing together. When we skype with them we have to stay after school while they have to get their at 7 0'clock that may sound like a original time to go to school but they start school at 9 o'clock! Here are some of the things I learned in our skype with them. The saddest one is that they only have a week out for summer but it is to make up the hours since they get to go to school at 9:00 and get out of school at 3:00.But they have their Christmas in the summer so thats like different than what we do here. Also they can go to school barefooted! It is because of a tradition with their Indian Ancestors. But the way they play sports is cool too. Like our game in basketball- we dribble the ball but they have to stand still and just pass it to other teammates and shoot it from wherever they are! That must be hard. But there is one sport here that is their favorite sport- it is Soccer But the funniest sport is hockey. They play hockey barefooted on concrete! In New Zealand they only have to drive 20 minutes to go to the beach! I wish I were in New Zealand.
